Dorothy Fortenberry returns to the writing staff of the television series THE 100 which has been renewed by the CW network for the 2014-15 season.

Janine Nabers wins the prestigious 2014 Yale Drama Series Prize for her play, SERIAL BLACK FACE.  In addition to a monetary prize, the award includes a reading at the Claire Tow Theater at Lincoln Center Theater and publication of the play by Yale University Press.

Janine Nabers joins the writing staff of GIRLFRIENDS’ GUIDE TO DIVORCE, Bravo’s first original scripted series, created by Marti Noxon and based on the books by Vicki Iovine.

THE CORTEZ METHOD by Rob Keefe is nominated for the 2014 Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award.  FortyMagnolias Productions is presenting a reading of THE CORTEZ METHOD on December 17 at the Boston Playwrights’ Theatre in Boston, MA.

PARTNERS, a new play by Dorothy Fortenberry, is being given its world premiere production as part of the 38th Humana Festival of New American Plays at the Actors Theatre of Louisville, February 26 – April 6, 2014.

Performances of the world premiere of THE CORTEZ METHOD by Rob Keefe, directed by Mark Routhier, run from August 29-September 22, 2013 at Orlando Shakespeare Theater.  Originally presented in 2012 as a staged reading as part of PlayFest, OST’s new works festival, THE CORTEZ METHOD was an audience favorite.

ANNIE BOSH IS MISSING by Janine Nabers has its world premiere at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company as part of their First Look Festival. Now in its eighth season, the First Look Festival “showcases plays and playwrights that we think will have significant impact on American theater for years to come.”   ANNIE BOSH runs now through August 25, 2013.

Dorothy Fortenberry joins the writing staff of the THE 100, a new series for 2013-14 on the CW, produced by Alloy Entertainment and WBTV based on the book series by Kass Morgan.

Executive Produced by Laurie Gwen Shapiro and Paul Scherzer, THE MANOR, Shawney Cohen’s debut documentary film about his family and the strip club that’s the family business, will have its world premiere as the opening night film of the Hot Docs Canadian International Film Festival (April 25-May 5, 2013). It is the first Canadian film to open the Festival in a decade.
